Wayside Gardens in the News

Wayside Gardens made this list of various new cone flower colors offered this year. The Indiana Star mentions us especially for the pink ‘Razzmatazz’ echinacea, the first ever double echinacea. This is a beautiful and hardy perennial that is also interesting enough for collectors. I believe I mentioned it in my earlier post about cone flowers.

We also have those “Big Sky” echinaceas from ItSaul in Georgia mentioned at the top of the list. They take up the first two pages of our catalog. If you are looking for coneflowers, we got ‘em.

Wayside Gardens and Park Seed catalogs were also mentioned in this article about Philadelphia gardeners and gardening catalogs. I too have spent hours walking around in my back yard building a fantasy garden. Hopefully, this spring, I can turn some of it into a reality. I made the first step this weekend by attacking an unruly pecan tree– all of its limbs were drooping to the ground. They aren’t anymore. Now I’m going a couple of raised beds for my vegetable garden, and plant some shade-loving plants along the back side of the house.

Anyway, check out the articles. Leave me a comment about your fantasy garden. Maybe we can keep each other posted on our progress.

I am starting my very first garden this year. I’m planting some coneflowers, blue fescue grass, and some cat nip to drive my cat crazy. I don’t know anything about color schemes but it’s got blue, pink, and white.
    Here’s hope I succeed!
